On June 30th, ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. (ACY) and Beijing BPLead Technology Co., Ltd (BPLead Technology) held the kick-off meeting for the construction of PLM project. Middle-level and above personnel from ACY and Yang Haibo, project manager of BPLead Technology, attended the meeting. Through the cooperation with BPLead Technology, ACY has started the journey of accelerating digital transformation and creating a “new engine” for high-quality development.

        At the start of this kick-off meeting, Yang Haibo, who has rich experience in PLM project implementation, introduced the project related issues, including product data management, design tool integration, process digitalization system, PLM and ERP integration, integrated change management and product delivery process project management.

        Then Chen Aiguo, general manager of ACY, made a speech. He said that on the occasion of “Made in China 2025”, ACY ushered in another opportunity for enterprise transformation and upgrading-the PLM project was launched. Next, ACY will cooperate closely with BPLead Technology for three months to complete the first phase of PLM project. Enterprise transformation and upgrading along with digitalization is a practical management change. After completion, it will be integrated with Infor LN, ERP, OA and MES to serve enterprises more efficiently and quickly. Finally, Chen made an important instruction, “This is a change. I believe that out team has the ability to accept the ideas of management change. All departments should give full support, hand up if there are any problems, and the top management will give full support.

        After the kick-off meeting, Yang then gave a “PLM introduction training” to all engineering and technical personnel, explaining the basic concepts of digital POM, BOM, MES, ERP, SCM, IPO and their relationships, introducing what PLM is, how to implement PLM and when to implement it, and describing the final integration scenario of PLM, ERP and MES. Through the introduction, all engineers and technicians have a general understanding of PLM, making a good start for the future implementation.

The implementation of the first phase of PLM project will bring the following advantages and benefits to camshafts.

1. PLM system will bring great changes to the company’s product research and development mode, from paper management mode to electronic data management mode.
2. Through PLM system, the company's product database is established, and it is associated with ERP and MES, so as to prevent information islands, which is conducive to decision-making analysis through data.
