Development History

1992

In January, under the leadership of Ni Xianghua, Deputy Director of Yizheng Piston Ring Factory, the Camshaft project was initiated in the waste ring warehouse of Xincheng Machinery Factory.

1993

In September, the Yizheng City Internal Combustion Engine Components Factory was established.

1994

Started supplying D433 Camshaft finished products to Nanjing Yuejin Automobile Factory.

1995

Began supplying blanks to Nanjing Iveco.

1996

On November 18, the Jiangsu Yizheng Camshaft Factory was established, with Mr. Li Gongwei serving as the factory director.

1997

Began to produce Camshaft for Chunlan and other motorcycles.

1998

In March, the Xupu Gumai plant in Yizheng City was completed and put into operation.

1999

Started the development of the 6DL Camshaft at Wuxi Diesel Engine Factory.

Year 2000

In March, the Shuanghuan valve seat products were integrated into the Yizheng Camshaft Factory.

2001

Production and export of C2972 twin-cylinder cast Camshaft to the United States.

2004

In May, ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. was established as a wholly foreign-owned enterprise, with Mr. Shao Guodong appointed as the General Manager.

In July, development of the C9 series Camshaft for IVECO was initiated.

On September 29, groundbreaking was held for a new factory building in the Yizheng Automotive Industrial Park.

With the assistance of ASIMCO Camshaft (USA) Co., Ltd., we have obtained the qualification to supply Camshafts (LE5) for Shanghai GM Regal and LaCrosse engines, with an annual production capacity of 500,000 units.

2005

In May, we obtained ISO 9001 quality management system certification.

In December, the relocation and installation of the UK casting production line were completed and the line was put into operation; on the 26th, the first batch of molten iron was poured, marking the start of production.

2006

On March 4, we officially supplied 6C Camshaft blanks to ASIMCO Camshaft USA.

On March 12, small-batch sampling of the C9 series Camshaft commenced.

On March 18, the Phase I factory building and office building were put into operation.

At the end of June, the employee status conversion was completed, and starting in July, a labor contract was signed with ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd.

In November, we obtained TS16949 quality system certification.

2007

In June, Foton Cummins successfully developed the ISF3.8L diesel engine AVALON hollow-chilled nodular iron Camshaft, taking the lead in the domestic hollow camshaft casting production field.

In October, we exported finished FIREFOX Camshafts.

2008

It began to supply AVALON Camshaft to Foton Cummins and FIREFOX blanks to Beinei.

In December, we obtained ISO 14001 environmental management system certification.

2009

In October, a joint venture was established with the Yizheng Piston Ring Factory, and Mr. Chen Aiguo was appointed as the General Manager.

2010

In March, the finished Camshaft for Dongkang 6D/4D was developed and supplied in bulk.

In May, the “Quality Is in My Hands” Quality Month campaign was launched.

On September 15, construction commenced on the Phase II factory building, adding 8,000 square meters of production space.

Developed FAW Xichai 29D Camshaft and Anhui CHERY products.

On December 25, a Christmas welcome gala will be held.

2011

In May, supply commenced to Cummins UK (6B RGT and 4B RGT).

In the first half of the year, we collaborated with Hualing to develop Camshaft P112 and P310.

On September 14, the Phase II factory building was completed.

On October 25, Qian Hengrong, plant director of FAW Xichai, unveiled the plaque for the CA6DL Camshaft Production Special Line.

On December 25, a welcome gala will be held.

2012

Secured the Cummins VIKING Camshaft project and initiated sample development.

Cooperated with Shanghai Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. to develop the C13 Camshaft for FAW-Volkswagen and supply it in small batches.

2013

On July 17, the renovation of the resin-bonded sand casting line was completed, reducing workers’ physical workload.

Started to develop and supply Camshaft C163 for Dongkang.

2014

Three Cummins finished Camshaft production lines have been built (Foton ISG, American VIKING, and Cummins 6C), all of which have passed PPAP review and entered mass production.

The company’s output value and sales both exceeded RMB 100 million, marking a historic breakthrough.

Officially supplying 4B/6BRGT Camshaft to Russian ZCK and Korean HCEC.

Awarded Cummins China’s Annual “Best Six Sigma” Continuous Improvement Award.

On May 31, the company celebrated its 10th anniversary.

2015

In September, the “Cummins ESP13L chilled nodular cast iron Camshaft” was awarded as a high-tech product of Jiangsu Province.

In October, the H1 Camshaft was approved by Weichai and began to be supplied in bulk.

In November, Viking Camshaft passed the extreme environment road test of Cummins in the United States and was exported to the CEP plant in the United States in bulk.

In December, the company was awarded the “Outstanding Power Strategic Cooperation Award” by Shangfeihong; it also invested RMB 4.5 million to upgrade the UK casting line, increasing blank production capacity by 60%.

2016

Awarded Cummins’ “Outstanding Supplier” designation for three consecutive years, recipient of the Cummins Global Best Technical Support Award, and selected as a CPL Preferred Supplier.

Cummins Viking 5.0L Camshaft awarded Jiangsu Province High-tech Product; Ductile iron quenched Camshaft achieves “zero defects” in 500-hour bench test.

In December, the flue-gas dust collection system for the casting electric furnace was upgraded, improving the production environment.

Awarded the national “High-Tech Enterprise” certificate.

2017

Sales revenue reached RMB 215.25 million, surpassing RMB 200 million for the first time, representing a year-on-year increase of 56%.

In January, the modular Camshaft project was approved and an R&D team was established.

In March, the Weichai H1 production line was established to supply Weichai on a bulk basis.

In August, construction commenced on Building No. 4.

In September, a company-wide 5S transformation was launched.

In November, the company passed the Jiangsu Province Safety Standardization (Level 2) assessment; automation was commissioned on Viking’s upstream production line.

2018

In April, the first semi-finished product of the combined four-cylinder Camshaft was successfully developed and assembled.

In July, the third-phase gold-processing plant was completed and put into operation.

In August, the company was designated as a Tier 1 supplier for Cummins in the U.S. and commenced formal supply to the RMEP plant; a torsional testing laboratory was also completed.

In October, we obtained the Two-Integration Management System Certificate.

In December, the first assembled six-cylinder engine Camshaft was successfully developed.

2019

Participated in the R&D of Cummins’ high-power forged steel Camshaft, with several products passing PPAP review and being supplied in small batches.

Bulk supply of Camshaft RMEP 5263488 to expand the supply scale for Cummins in the United States.

Completed projects including environmental protection upgrades in the casting workshop, automation upgrades in machining, acquisition of a wastewater discharge permit, and noise reduction in the steel shaft production process.

2020

Develop new customers such as Yuchai United Power, Shanghai Diesel Engine, and Sany Heavy Industry.

The modular Camshaft special zone has been put into operation, and Hualing’s 10L/11L products are being supplied in small batches.

Cost-reduction benefits totaled RMB 4 million for the year; multiple automation upgrades have been successfully implemented.

2021

In June, Hualing’s modular Camshaft passed PPAP and was officially launched in bulk.

In July, production capacity was increased on Weichai’s H1/H3 production lines.

In September, the first phase of the MES project was implemented, marking the start of digital transformation.

Expand the customer base for Xi’an Cummins and Changfa diesel engines; achieve over RMB 50 million in export revenue.

Organize Family Day events, team-building activities, and study sessions for Party members.

2022

Launch the MAN project in Brazil and enter Volkswagen’s global commercial vehicle market.

Qualified as a Camshaft supplier for DAF Euro 6 engines in Europe.

Bulk supply of Sinotruk modular Camshaft; commissioning of the automatic casting and pouring line.

Completed nearly 10 automation upgrades, achieving full MES coverage; and passed the Level 3A standardization assessment for the integration of informatization and industrialization.

2023

Sales revenue reached RMB 237.138 million, a year-on-year increase of 47%.

The DAF project was approved, and the first batch of samples was delivered in September; the Shanghai Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. National VII combined Camshaft project was launched.

In December, Phase II of the MES was completed, achieving end-to-end digital management.

Automation equipment is widely deployed; production capacity on the Z14 production line has increased substantially.

Completed the energy-saving retrofit of the smelting furnace and put the box-assembly robot into operation.

2024

In January, Mr. Du Wenwen was appointed General Manager and Mr. Chen Aiguo was appointed Chairman, marking the completion of the leadership transition.

In March, awarded the title of Advanced Unit for Work Safety by Yizheng City.

In April, we were awarded the three-star certification for digital transformation standardization.

In June, passed the Volkswagen POT audit.

In October, secured the FIAT NEF/F5C project award.

In December, we passed the ISO 45001 audit and obtained certification.

Weichai’s sales exceeded RMB 70 million, with international business growing by 50% to RMB 60 million.
