Nissan Visits ASIMCO Camshaft

On August 6, 2015, a three-member delegation comprising Mr. Koji Yamamoto from Nissan Motor’s Japan headquarters, Mr. Hao Yong, ABO Procurement Manager at Cummins, and Mr. Tu Xiaodong from SQI, conducted a one-day audit of our company. Nissan Motor is one of the major customers of Cummins’ LDD engines; the latest 2015 model of the Titan pickup truck currently marketed in North America is equipped with an LDD engine.
First, General Manager Chen Aiguo extended a warm welcome to the guests on behalf of the company. Technical Quality Director Dai Hongxing gave a detailed introduction to the guests on the company’s overall situation in 2015, the professional casting, machining, and testing capabilities in the Camshaft business, as well as the current status of the LDD project. The first phase of the LDD Camshaft production line, with an annual capacity of 160,000 units, has already passed Cummins’ PPAP. According to the ramp-up plan, once the second phase reaches full production, the annual capacity will increase to 320,000 units.
Subsequently, accompanied by Mr. Dai, the Nissan and Cummins guests conducted a process audit of the casting and LDD machining production lines. The guests commended the Camshaft production line for its clean and orderly flow manufacturing site, advanced and comprehensive inspection equipment, and rational dedicated-line layout. Finally, the Nissan and Cummins guests made an assessment of the entire process audit, acknowledged our company’s support for the LDD project, and also put forward constructive improvement suggestions for our company.
