On March 24, the first session of the team leader training course at ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. was successfully concluded, with a total of 24 team leaders and key business personnel from the machining and casting workshops participating in the training.
Team leaders work on the front line of production management, serving as a crucial position for managing production lines in grassroots workshops—what we often refer to as the “last mile” of management. The quality of the team leader workforce directly affects the company’s operational performance and is of paramount importance in grassroots enterprise management. Strengthening the training and development of team leaders is therefore of great significance for promoting safe production, efficient management operations, and workforce stability at ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. Our goal is to broaden the horizons of grassroots managers through training, equip them with effective management techniques, enhance their understanding of industry competition and market information, and ensure that frontline team leaders can stay attuned to the pulse of the market.
This training program has received high attention from company leadership and was meticulously planned and prepared by the TPM Promotion Office. Based on a thorough needs assessment conducted in the preliminary phase, the curriculum was systematically designed in close collaboration with Mr. Liu Zongchang from headquarters, with a focus on key areas such as team building, fundamental competencies for team leaders, basic EHS practices, quality management, 5S management, the eight major types of waste, autonomous maintenance, and Amoeba team management.
This training session marks the company’s first grassroots team-leader training program in 2019. Relevant departments and trainees alike have provided substantial support and cooperation. Moving forward, the TPM Promotion Office will conduct a comprehensive review of this training, refine and enhance the curriculum, and initiate preparations for the next cohort of team-leader training at an appropriate time.
