At the beginning of the new year, good news keeps coming as ASIMCO Camshaft makes a strong push into the high-end market—securing consecutive projects from Sinotruk and Nanjing Iveco.

On January 7, 2016, a delegation of five, including Wang Jinrong, Executive Deputy General Manager of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Hangzhou Engine Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CNHTC Hangzhou Engine), Li Weijun, Director of the Application Department of the Technology Development Center of CNHTC Group, and Yang Dongdong, a technical engineer at CNHTC Hangzhou Engine, paid a designated supplier visit to our company. Chen Aiguo, General Manager of ASIMCO Camshaft, extended a warm welcome to the guests. Dai Hongxing, Director of Technical Quality, provided the guests with a detailed introduction to the technological advantages in the development and machining of various types of Camshafts, including steel, cast iron, and ductile iron quenched Camshafts.
The customer from Sinotruk Hangfa introduced the background and development schedule requirements of the light-duty engine project. They hope to receive support from ASIMCO Camshaft in the design and development of the Camshaft. ASIMCO Camshaft’s senior management explicitly stated their full support, especially close cooperation during the prototype design and development phase.
Subsequently, the guests from Sinotruk Hangfa visited the casting and machining production sites as well as the inspection areas. They commended ASIMCO’s advanced Camshaft processing and testing technologies, which boosted their confidence in ASIMCO Camshaft as the designated supplier for this project.
One week later, on January 13, a five-member delegation led by Company General Manager Chen Aiguo, together with Sales Director Zhou Quan and Production Director Ji Youqun, paid a visit to the Engine Division of Nanjing Iveco Automobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Nanwei Ke). The visit was received by Nanwei Ke General Manager Chen Xinning, Deputy General Manager of Technology Wang Lin, and Camshaft Project Leader Yu Zhiping, among others. Both sides briefed each other on their respective business operations. Our company highlighted two plans for the production of Sofim Camshaft finished products: one is a combination plan that reconfigures existing equipment, and the other is a new investment to set up a dedicated production line; we also presented the technical solution for the new F1C model. The Nanwei Ke leadership commended ASIMCO Camshaft’s consistent support in the camshaft business and, during the meeting, agreed to designate ASIMCO Camshaft as the exclusive processing partner for Sofim Camshaft finished products, with a phased transition to be implemented.
