On the morning of September 28, 2021, ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. held a formal launch meeting for Phase I of the MES project. Leaders and project team members from both ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. and Jiwang Information Technology Co., Ltd. attended the meeting.

Xia Qicheng, Project Manager of Jiwang Technology, served as the moderator of the meeting. He began by reviewing the project’s implementation and presenting the results achieved at each stage. Zhang Bingdong, Director of the Information Department at ASIMCO Camshaft Company, then reported on the on-site usage and the changes brought about since the trial operation. The first phase of the project encompassed modules such as MES, WMS, and machine networking, covering all areas of metal machining. The system features functions like anomaly management, work order management, time reporting management, process management, warehouse management, and equipment connectivity. Since the trial operation, it has enhanced the speed and effectiveness of responding to and resolving issues related to equipment, quality, and technology; strengthened compliance and control over machining processes; accelerated information transmission, enabling real-time visibility into the current processing stage of all unfinished orders; and improved traceability throughout the product machining process. Guided by the principle of “doing things thoroughly and well,” and through the concerted efforts of all members of the project team, the entire project has successfully achieved its intended objectives.

Zhu Haifeng, Sales Director of Jiwang Technology, delivered a speech at the invitation, stating: “Digitalization is a trend; those who secure the ticket first can gain a competitive edge. The official launch of Phase I of ASIMCO’s Camshaft MES marks the full commencement of a new journey in ‘digital industry’ and secures a ticket to the new era. ASIMCO Camshaft boasts a high standard of on-site lean management and a solid foundation for information-based management. With the concerted efforts of both parties, we are confident that ASIMCO Camshaft will become a benchmark enterprise for digital factories and lead the industry in this new journey.”

He expressed the hope that both sides would continue to work hard and steadily advance the Phase II and Phase III construction of MES according to the plan.
Finally, President Chen emphasized that, as “Made in China 2025” continues to advance and the wave of Industry 4.0 gathers momentum, new-generation information technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, and cloud computing are providing critical technological support for the intelligent transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. We must align ourselves with this overarching trend of intelligent upgrading, vigorously promote automation, digitalization, networking, and intelligence, comprehensively elevate our manufacturing capabilities, enhance our overall competitiveness, and ensure the enduring success and sustainability of our enterprise.
