“Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)” Concludes Successfully — ASIMCO Camshaft Quality Special Training, Part 1

2021 On October 10, Mr. Xiong, a quality management expert from Yangzhou Lande Management Consulting Co., Ltd., visited ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. to deliver the first one-day training session on Quality Management titled “Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).”
Nie Xiaojing, Head of Human Resources, provided an overview of the training program and delivered a welcoming address, encouraging participants to apply what they have learned in practice to further refine the company’s current product development processes. A total of 30 technical and quality personnel took part in the training. Prior to the commencement of the course, an ice-breaking activity was organized for all attendees, dividing them into five groups. Under the guidance of their respective group leaders, each team devised a unique group name and slogan, blending learning with fun to enhance the training experience and boost morale.
In the classroom, Teacher Xiong provided a detailed explanation of six key topics:
1 1. Overview of Quality Design;
2 1. Project planning and preparation;
3 , process design and development;
4 , product and process validation;
5 , feedback, evaluation, and corrective actions;
6 1. Control plan methodology.
Based on the company’s current new-product-development process design, we used real-world case studies to deepen participants’ understanding and encouraged them to pool their ideas, engage in active discussion, and share insights. A points-based system was employed throughout the session to motivate participation. During the discussion phase, attendees actively interacted with the instructor.
At 4:00 p.m., the day’s APQP training concluded successfully. Instructor Xiong covered a wide range of topics and assigned homework to help participants reinforce their learning and apply it in practice. In addition, senior management representatives were asked to guide trainees in reviewing and refining the company’s new-product development process, drawing on the course content delivered by the instructor. The next session of the Quality Management专题 II—Design of Experiments (DOE)—training is scheduled for late October.
