To enhance team cohesion and centripetal force and promote inter-team communication, ASIMCO Camshaft recently organized a 2021 employee quality development training at the Western Suburban Forest Park in Yangzhou. More than 30 trainees from departments such as Technology, Quality, Finance, Equipment, and Production/Workshop took part in the event.
This team-building activity was centered around two main themes: fostering team cohesion and pushing personal limits. It featured a variety of engaging and meaningful exercises, including a team obstacle course, the Da Vinci Code challenge, collaborative tower-building, and the power rope circle. Throughout the event, participants from all departments and across all age groups set aside divisions, refrained from blame or complaint, and instead offered each other encouragement and support. By challenging themselves, they ultimately succeeded in completing all team tasks.
During the sharing session, participants agreed that the “Da Vinci Code” game had left the most profound impression. The coach inadvertently instilled a strong sense of competition between teams; in the course of the game, team members often resorted to “undermining” their opponents in order to secure victory for their own team, which not only hampered their own performance but also disrupted the other teams’ ability to perform at their best. Through this experience, everyone came to realize that if the game had emphasized more collaboration and positive communication, each team would have achieved far better results—helping others would, in turn, enhance one’s own performance as well.
Through the implementation of these activities, new employees are able to quickly integrate into the team and develop a strong sense of belonging. At the same time, they undergo personal transformation through experiential learning, gaining deeper insights into life. Having experienced the success and joy that come from dedication, collaboration, and courage, each participant gains a profound understanding of the core values of responsibility, teamwork, and self-confidence—and of the responsibilities that come with being a member of the team. This team-building event has also strengthened mutual understanding among colleagues; amidst the rigors of daily work, it provides an opportunity to connect with nature, unwind, and reinvigorate enthusiasm and motivation, thereby laying a solid foundation for the company’s cultural development and sustainable growth.
