Promoting the New Apprenticeship System and Carrying Forward the Craftsman Spirit — ASIMCO Camshaft’s New Apprenticeship Program Officially Launches

To further enhance employees’ skill levels and accelerate the development of a team of highly skilled personnel, on November 26, 2021, the opening ceremony for the new apprenticeship program at ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. was held in Conference Room 205, with the participation of more than 50 company mentors and trainee representatives. Zhou Zhihong, Vice President of Yizheng Technician College, Ji Youqun, Deputy General Manager of Production at ASIMCO Camshaft, and other relevant leaders attended the ceremony.
The enterprise-based new apprenticeship system is an innovative reform initiative in corporate training that combines mentorship with work-based learning. By fully leveraging modern technological tools such as “Internet Plus,” it enhances employees’ professional knowledge and innovation capabilities, upgrades and transforms the company’s workforce management practices, optimizes the mechanism for cultivating highly skilled talent, and improves employees’ overall competencies—making it of great significance.
At the opening ceremony, Vice President Zhou Zhihong provided a detailed overview of the training content, delivery model, duration, and offered specialties (occupations) under the enterprise-based new apprenticeship program, expressing the hope that this training initiative would serve as a catalyst for forging multi-modal, multi-dimensional, and in-depth collaborations to cultivate more knowledgeable, innovative, and highly skilled talent for enterprises. Mr. Qian Jun, Director of Administration and Human Resources at our company, along with representatives of the mentors and apprentices, also delivered remarks. Ms. Nie Xiaojing, Head of Human Resources, presented appointment letters to the class teachers and mentors, after which the mentor and apprentice representatives participated in an on-site signing ceremony to formalize their mentor–apprentice pairing.
Following the ceremony, Teacher Ge from the institute delivered the inaugural course of the program, titled “The Spirit of Craftsmanship.” Through video presentations featuring exemplary figures, the session enabled participants to gain a deeper understanding of the “spirit of craftsmanship” that underpins China’s status as a major power. With the reminder that excellence can be achieved in every one of the 365 trades, the instructor encouraged each employee to uphold a professional ethos of continuous improvement and meticulous attention to detail in their daily work, to strive to enhance their personal competencies and skill levels, and to contribute their efforts to the innovation and development of the company’s production technologies.
