ASIMCO Camshaft Successfully Undergoes the 2021 IATF16949 Quality Management System and ISO14001 Environmental Management System External Audit

From November 30 to December 4, 2021, an audit team from TÜV NORD GmbH conducted a four-day surveillance audit of our company’s 2021 IATF 16949 quality management system and ISO 14001 environmental management system. Through discussions, on-site observations, and review of documentation, the audit team carried out a thorough and in-depth assessment of the company’s management and all functional departments, thereby obtaining objective evidence of the effective operation of our quality and environmental management systems.
On the morning of November 30, Company General Manager Chen Aiguo, Management Representative Dai Hongxing, Deputy General Manager Ji Youqun, and heads of various departments, along with other relevant personnel, attended the initial audit meeting. During the meeting, General Manager Chen emphasized the importance of the external audit and expressed his hope that all departments and relevant staff would maintain thorough records throughout the audit process and implement appropriate improvements and enhancements in the coming year.
During the audit, the audit team conducted its review through on-site inspections, interviews and discussions, random sampling, data collection, and document review, among other methods. The audit assessed the operational effectiveness of the company’s two major management systems and carried out a comprehensive and meticulous verification of the suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of the system documentation.
Following thorough communication with the audit team, a closing meeting was held. The auditors outlined the specific audit findings and identified areas requiring improvement, offering several constructive and feasible recommendations. They also commended the company for effectively controlling all processes in production and operations, demonstrating a deep understanding of relevant standards and requirements, and ensuring that all activities are carried out in an orderly manner in accordance with established system procedures, thereby achieving operational objectives. During this audit, no critical nonconformities were identified; however, three minor nonconformities were noted. The audit conclusion is that the two major management systems are operating in compliance with and appropriately aligned to their respective standards.
At the closing meeting, General Manager Chen provided a comprehensive summary of the external system audit. He emphasized that each audit should be viewed as an opportunity to promote and reflect on the company’s management operations. Any weaknesses or nonconformities identified during the audit must be rigorously corrected and fully implemented; the sole objective should not be merely to pass the audit, but rather to strengthen the enforcement of the system, pursue continuous improvement, and steadily enhance the company’s management standards and overall competitiveness.
