ASIMCO Camshaft MES Phase II Officially Launched

On February 10, 2022, ASIMCO Camshaft Co., Ltd. and Ningbo Jiwang Information Technology Co., Ltd. joined forces once again. Leaders from both companies and members of the project team convened a project kickoff meeting, officially launching the second phase of the ASIMCO Camshaft MES project. Zhu Haifeng, General Manager of Jiwang Technology’s Suzhou branch, delivered a speech, expressing gratitude to ASIMCO Camshaft for once again selecting Jiwang Technology as its digital transformation partner. The first phase of the ASIMCO Camshaft MES project focused on framework construction and basic functionality development, successfully achieving the expected objectives. The second phase will emphasize functional expansion, optimization, and the development of visualized reports to further enhance value. Jiwang Headquarters attaches great importance to the second phase of the ASIMCO Camshaft MES project and has appointed an experienced Implementation Director as the project leader to ensure the smooth execution of the project, with the aim of turning ASIMCO Camshaft into a model customer for Jiwang’s Suzhou branch in the future.
The project leader of Jiwang Technology gave a brief introduction to the second phase of the ASIMCO Camshaft MES project. The first phase of the ASIMCO Camshaft project has already achieved equipment interconnection and digital machining. Building on the original project, the second phase is now being developed with the aim of achieving comprehensive digital coverage. Through the MES system, this project will collect data across the entire production process of ASIMCO Camshafts, monitor the real-time production status, and provide comprehensive monitoring of modules such as personnel management, warehousing and logistics, order management, machining management, equipment management, quality management, resource management, and Andon management, thereby standardizing business operations, enabling agile manufacturing, and ensuring transparent cost management.
Chen Aiguo, General Manager of ASIMCO Camshaft, delivered a speech, stating that digital management is the only way for enterprise development. Since the implementation and operation of Phase I of the MES, the efficiency of handling abnormal situations on the production floor has been greatly improved. In the future, in daily production management—such as formulating preventive maintenance plans for equipment, spare parts plans, equipment improvement, process optimization, and employee skill assessments—decisions should be made based on MES data. Tooling, fixtures, quality control, and logistics management are the key areas for the implementation of Phase II. It is hoped that all departments will go all out and pool their wisdom in accordance with the target plan for Phase II of the MES, and that, with the active collaboration of both parties, Phase II will be quickly put into practice.
