A Delegation of Municipal Government Leaders Visits Partner Enterprises to Help Alleviate Their Difficulties

On the morning of May 12, 2022, Vice Mayor You Yujun of Yizheng City and Director Gao Zhijun of the Science and Technology Bureau visited our company for a symposium. During the visit, they addressed the challenges facing business operations in light of the current epidemic and economic conditions, with the aim of helping enterprises resolve their difficulties and alleviate their burdens.
Company General Manager Chen Aiguo received the government leaders and provided a detailed overview of the company’s development history, product portfolio, customer base, and industry standing, as well as an update on its 2021 sales performance and profit-and-tax results. He also presented a year-on-year comparison of the operating metrics for the first quarter of 2022. Despite significant year-on-year declines in sales due to adverse factors such as the pandemic and the overall downturn in the medium- and heavy-duty truck market, the company has maintained steady growth in its customer base, market share, and market penetration. We remain confident that, with underlying market demand intact, the company’s sales performance will gradually improve.
At present, the company is simultaneously working to mitigate the impact of epidemic prevention and control by proactively engaging with customers and markets to secure more new clients and introduce new product varieties, while steadfastly strengthening internal management—focusing on quality, cost efficiency, and other key areas—to further enhance the competitive edge of its products.
Mayor You expressed his appreciation for ASIMCO Camshaft’s achievements and management level, sincerely stating that the government is committed to providing practical assistance and services to outstanding enterprises like ours. He also instructed the Yizheng Science and Technology Bureau to give high priority to the company’s currently submitted “Scientific and Technological Achievement Transformation Project” and encouraged the company to apply for designations such as “Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative” enterprise and to establish key laboratories in Yangzhou City, among other science and technology projects. Director Gao Zhijun likewise stated that the Yizheng Science and Technology Bureau will assign dedicated personnel to liaise with ASIMCO Camshaft on its science and technology-related projects, thereby supporting the company’s development.
Mayor You also inquired about the company’s epidemic prevention and control measures, as well as the impact of the pandemic on its production and business operations. He then provided an overview of the national epidemic prevention policies and the control measures currently implemented by the Yizheng Municipal Government, and addressed each of the company’s concerns regarding the current disruptions to business travel and logistics. During the symposium, General Manager Chen also offered candid suggestions from a corporate perspective on talent recruitment and investment promotion in Yizheng, which were unanimously endorsed by the leaders.
“In the face of economic difficulties, confidence is more important than gold!” Mr. Chen told Mayor You of the city that at this critical moment, it is very timely for government leaders and functional departments to go deep into enterprises to relieve their worries, alleviate their difficulties, and boost their confidence. He believes that under the correct leadership of the Party and the government, ASIMCO Camshaft, leveraging the advantages of the group and its shareholders, will surely seize every market opportunity and achieve even better results.
