On the morning of June 18, 2022, Mr. Li Kaishun, CEO of ASIMCO Group, delivered a keynote speech titled “Looking Back, Living Up to the Present, and Writing a New Chapter” to a total of 52 members of the Camshaft management team and the reserve talent pool in Meeting Room 205 of ASIMCO Camshaft, covering the group’s historical development, future strategy, and transformation and upgrading.
First, Mr. Li opened the session by discussing ASIMCO’s founding, the management philosophies of its successive CEOs, and the changes brought about by several shareholder transitions, thereby prompting everyone to reflect on the company’s governance structure and clarifying the role of shareholders at different stages in ASIMCO Group. Shareholders’ value extends beyond mere financial investment; more importantly, their expectations infuse the enterprise with advanced management concepts, continuously empowering both the group and its operating companies. With the entry of Zhengzhou Coal Mining Machinery, shareholders’ awareness has further elevated ASIMCO Group’s management mindset, injecting momentum and vitality into the company’s continued development.
Subsequently, regarding ASIMCO Group’s business development plan, the speaker outlined the group’s overall objectives and key strategic initiatives for 2023–2030, in light of shareholders’ expectations and requirements. Drawing on personal experience, the speaker emphasized the importance of learning ability in enhancing one’s understanding and the need to learn rapidly, stressing that managers must be courageous in embracing change and not shy away from confronting conflicts. The insights of top corporate leaders and the core management team determine the company’s core competitiveness. Furthermore, from a developmental perspective, the speaker deconstructed the false premise of “small but beautiful,” urging everyone to remain unafraid of competition, steadfastly expand the domestic market, deepen product offerings, and explore international markets.
The third part analyzes the global automotive industry development direction, the timeline for new energy adoption, the behaviors of domestic and international industry competitors, as well as ASIMCO’s current opportunities and challenges, based on the domestic and international macro environment, the 2030/60 carbon emission targets, and an in-depth study of national policies. It outlines the strategic direction for ASIMCO Group’s future transformation—focusing resources and cultivating new growth drivers—and sets clear expectations for the group’s digital transformation and upgrade, presenting a specific digital strategy roadmap. It also emphasizes that, with societal progress and the evolution of manufacturing, digital transformation is no longer merely a means to enhance competitiveness; it has become an essential prerequisite for the survival of enterprises in the future.
During the event, President Li engaged in multiple rounds of interactive dialogue with attendees, helping them gain a deeper understanding of the Group’s strategic vision and encouraging young professionals to embrace the future with confidence. His remarks were met with enthusiastic responses, creating a dynamic and highly engaging atmosphere throughout the presentation.
Finally, Chen Aiguo, General Manager of ASIMCO Camshaft, shared his views based on the speech. He compared the different development philosophies brought about by the change in shareholders for ASIMCO Camshaft, expressed gratitude to Group CEO Mr. Li for his clear exposition of the group’s strategy, and stated that all employees of the Camshaft Division should cherish and firmly seize the development opportunities brought by the shareholders, strive to make Camshaft products the best in the industry, and make due contributions to achieving the group’s strategic goals.
