Enhancing Safety Awareness and Emergency Response Capabilities — ASIMCO Camshaft Holds Fire Emergency Evacuation Drill

In order to enhance employees’ safety awareness and emergency response capabilities, further familiarize them with fire safety knowledge, help them master fire escape skills, and promote the in-depth implementation of summer fire safety work, ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. conducted a fire, escape, and search-and-rescue emergency drill on July 8, 2022, in accordance with the annual emergency drill plan. Employees at all levels actively participated, with more than 60 employees taking part in the drill.
The drill was divided into two phases: theoretical training and practical exercises. At exactly 3:00 p.m., all participants took their assigned positions. Prior to the start of the drill, General Manager Chen Aiguo, the overall commander, provided a briefing on fire hazards, basic emergency self-rescue knowledge, evacuation techniques, and important precautions, and personally demonstrated the correct method for using a portable dry-powder fire extinguisher—a commonly used firefighting tool that is highly practical and easy to operate. During the practical phase, employees took turns practicing on the spot, quickly mastering the proper use of fire extinguishers and learning to respond promptly to fire alarms. Meanwhile, workshop supervisors effectively organized employee evacuation, established perimeter security, and coordinated firefighting efforts. Following the drill, Deputy Commander Ji Youqun summarized the exercise and offered detailed guidance on several issues identified during evacuation, self-rescue, and fire-extinguisher operation.
This drill, which lasted approximately 40 minutes, effectively integrated theory with practice. It not only verified the operational feasibility of each procedure outlined in the company’s fire emergency response plan and strengthened the fire-rescue response capabilities and awareness of emergency personnel, but also enhanced the fire safety skills and self-rescue abilities of all employees. The exercise achieved positive results, laying a solid foundation for the efficient and orderly conduct of safety-related work going forward and providing robust support for the company’s production and business operations.
