“Smart Transformation and Digital Transition: Practices and Actions” — The “Outstanding Talents and Master Craftsmen” Training Program Visits Our Company for Study and Exchange

On December 1, 2022, Yangzhou Lande Management Consulting Co., Ltd. led a delegation of 26 participants from the “Intelligent Transformation and Digital Transition” Training Program on a visit to ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. for study and observation, where they were warmly received by General Manager Chen Aiguo and other relevant leaders.
Mr. Chen outlined the company’s current strategies for advancing smart manufacturing and digital transformation, as well as its five-year development plan. He highlighted the initiatives and achievements the company has made in recent years in the areas of automation, digitalization, and intelligent technologies. Drawing on his previous visits to overseas clients, Mr. Chen noted that there remains a significant gap between our company and mature smart manufacturing facilities abroad. Looking ahead, the company will align with international trends, accelerate the implementation of the third phase of the MES project, and steadily enhance its overall competitiveness.
During the Q&A session, corporate trainees wanted to learn about ASIMCO’s excellent Camshaft quality control management model. Mr. Chen shared several real-life cases of quality failures that affected enterprise development, supported by actual data, and emphasized: “Quality is the bottom line for an enterprise’s survival.” We have always adhered to high standards and strict requirements in manufacturing every Camshaft, winning customer recognition and satisfaction through “hard” quality.
Subsequently, Mr. Chen led the trainees on a site visit to the manufacturing workshop, where they toured automated arm machining, real-time monitoring data for manufacturing, the Andon repair reporting system, the Zero Defect Management (ZDM) system, the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, and more. The trainees praised ASIMCO’s advanced technologies and systems in digitalization, intelligence, and automation. They remarked that the visit was well worth the trip, as it enabled them to shift from their “expert perspective” within their respective companies to a “trainee perspective,” thereby enhancing their understanding and awareness of new technologies, new scenarios, and new models. This deeper and more comprehensive insight into intelligent manufacturing and digitally driven lean quality management has helped them identify the right path for the transformation and upgrading of intelligent manufacturing in their enterprises.
