At the beginning of 2023, good news kept pouring in from the sales front line. In response to the group’s call to action, ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. has united as one from top to bottom, pooling our wisdom and efforts, and working with the most vigorous and enthusiastic attitude to achieve a strong start in the first quarter.
In the Camshaft team, there is a group of people who are the mobile team that rises to challenges, the multi-skilled workers who apply what they have learned, and the dedicated grassroots managers. They are always “running” to the posts needed for production, leaving solid “footprints” on the development path of Camshaft.
Zhou Anlin: Upholding the Pursuit of Greatness in the Ordinary
Zhou Anlin, a casting team leader, joined the company’s casting team in December 2009. For decades, he has consistently demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility and an unwavering commitment to hard work and selflessness. In 2010, the AUTO2 line—operated via signal switches—suffered from a high equipment failure rate and complex operation, leading both the deputy team leader and maintenance technicians assigned to the line to refuse to start and operate it, which brought production to a complete standstill. Faced with the challenge of failing to ramp up production capacity, Zhou Anlin voluntarily took on the task of mastering the skills required to operate the AUTO2 line. Through diligent study and a deep awareness of safety, he eventually gained the proficiency needed to reliably start the line, get it running smoothly, and ensure stable output. Later, when the casting workshop faced a shortage of forklift operators, hindering the efficient flow of products, he taught himself forklift operation, obtained the necessary certification, and ensured the smooth circulation of casting materials.
Ding Dajun: Upholding Commitment in the Everyday, and Devoting Oneself Through That Very Commitment
Ding Dajun is a multi-skilled metalworking technician who has worked on grinding machines at the company for 15 years. He always keeps his job responsibilities firmly in mind, strives to increase shift output, rigorously controls process quality, and ensures that not a single defective part makes it to the next operation. In his spare time, he proactively participates in multi-skilled training and, in coordination with production schedules, rotates through various production lines to fill in as needed, consistently delivering high-quality results on time. Guided by the principle of “unity and cooperation—division of labor without separation,” Ding Dajun takes the initiative to mentor new employees, helping them quickly adapt to their roles and master the necessary operating skills. After all, doing even the most ordinary tasks well is anything but ordinary; and repeatedly performing even the simplest tasks with excellence is anything but simple.
Chen Guochao: Meticulous in Learning, Pursuit of Excellence in Production
Chen Guochao is a versatile metalworking specialist who joined the company in early 2017. From his initial exposure to CNC lathes for steel shafts to now being proficient in operating every piece of equipment in the workshop, Chen has spent six years proving his worth by continuously challenging himself and striving to enhance his skills, earning the respect of his colleagues as the “Lathe Master.” In early 2020, the sudden outbreak of the pandemic and widespread home quarantine disrupted the workshop’s production schedule. At a time when delivery on Weichai’s H1 line was particularly difficult, Chen volunteered to step up, returning to work despite his family’s concerns. Undeterred by hardship or fatigue, he ensured timely product delivery. During the early stages of the company’s transformation into a smart factory, Chen proactively learned the operating procedures for robotic arms and collaborated with the manufacturer on commissioning and trial runs, thereby contributing significantly to the company’s automation efforts.
Chen Qianbiao: We Dream of Becoming “Master Craftsmen of a Great Country”
Chen Qianbiao, as the shift leader of Gold Processing Line H1, collaborates closely with the team leader to ensure the successful completion of production targets. He demonstrates a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement, has developed the ability to independently resolve on-site issues, and has effectively supported the gradual ramp-up of Line H1’s production capacity. During the company’s 2022 corporate new apprenticeship training program, he diligently pursued skill enhancement, excelled in the specialized practical training courses, and proactively completed all online coursework after class, earning recognition from his mentor as a model “Outstanding Trainee.”
The above four comrades have been named “Production Experts” for five consecutive years thanks to their outstanding skills, dedication to their jobs, and sense of safety responsibility. They said: “We are extremely proud to be recognized by the company and named Production Experts year after year. Adhering to our duties and being diligent and responsible is our work philosophy. We will do our best to contribute more to the future development of Camshaft!”
