To enhance the technological content of production management and the level of enterprise informatization, the Phase II MES project of ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. is currently in full swing.
In mid-April 2023, the MES equipment inspection function was launched. Workers can now complete equipment inspection records by entering data directly on the shop-floor industrial PCs and submit work-order control for equipment that has not yet been inspected. This feature has enabled paperless equipment inspections in the workshop, eliminated omissions in the inspection process, and will help enhance equipment stability throughout the manufacturing process.
The next phase of the MES Phase II project will focus on single-item station passage and process error prevention. “Quality is the bottom line for an enterprise’s survival,” which is why we launched the ZDM system in 2019 to manage and control product manufacturing processes. Building on the ZDM system, the initiatives for single-item station passage and process error prevention aim to establish a full lifecycle traceability for each individual product through even stricter and more meticulous controls, thereby achieving end-to-end visibility, traceability, and controllability across the entire production process. This ensures that product manufacturing operates under controlled conditions, consistently delivering high quality and meeting specified performance standards.
There are many difficulties and pain points in the implementation of the MES system, which we have overcome one by one with our partners to ensure the successful implementation of the MES project, actively promote ASIMCO Camshaft’s digital transformation, achieve lean production and refined management, reduce costs and increase efficiency, and help the company become a benchmark for digital intelligent factories.
