The “14th Five-Year Plan for Digital Economy Development” has elevated intelligent and digital transformation to a national strategy. In response to this call and to achieve a successful transformation, ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. has made substantial investments in recent years in key intelligent equipment, information technology equipment, industrial software, core technologies, and information systems, resulting in significant improvements in digitalization, networking, and intelligence. With the gradual implementation of projects such as automated production lines, robotic arms, MES, and ERP on the shop floor, cultivating skilled operational personnel at the corresponding level has become a priority in talent development.
After six months of screening and evaluation, the company’s new enterprise-based apprenticeship program—the Industrial Robot Systems Training Course—led by Director of Human Resources and Administration Qian Jun in collaboration with the local Technical College, held its opening ceremony on January 26, 2024, in Conference Room 205. The event was attended by more than 50 guests from both the institution and the enterprise, including instructors and apprentices.
At the opening ceremony, Xue Wenjun, Deputy Director of the Training Department at Yizheng Technical College, provided a detailed overview of the training content, delivery model, and course offerings, expressing the hope that this training program would serve as a catalyst for forging multi-modal, multi-dimensional, and in-depth collaborations to cultivate a greater pool of highly skilled, specialized, and innovative talent for enterprises.
Subsequently, mentor representative Wang Yujun and apprentice representative Chen Qianbiao each delivered remarks. Production Director Yao Yilin then presented appointment letters to the seven mentors, after which the mentor and apprentice representatives participated in an on-site mentor–apprentice pairing ceremony. The event concluded with a group photo.
Mr. Qian expressed high expectations for this training program: over the course of one year, it will adopt a blended learning approach that combines online and offline instruction, with the goal of cultivating versatile professionals who can independently perform data acquisition, condition monitoring, fault analysis and diagnosis, repair, as well as preventive maintenance and routine upkeep for industrial robot workstations or systems.
