Setting a New Benchmark for Green Manufacturing: ASIMCO Camshaft Achieves Dual System Certification

Recently, ASIMCO Camshaft successfully passed the ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint Verification and ISO 50001 Energy Management System Certification, marking a key breakthrough in the company’s green manufacturing and low-carbon transformation!
Since commencing preparations for certification in 2023, the company has invested more than RMB 1 million in a series of technological upgrades, including the installation of a distributed photovoltaic power generation system that generates enough electricity to meet 10% of the plant’s annual energy demand; the development of a digital energy management platform for real-time monitoring and parameter optimization of high-energy-consuming equipment such as air compressors and heat-treatment furnaces; and the establishment of a recycling system for scrap metal and cutting fluids, thereby raising the overall utilization rate to over 95%.
The successful certification under the dual-system framework marks a comprehensive, end-to-end upgrade for the company in both “energy management and control” and “carbon footprint tracing.” In terms of energy management, the company has established an ISO 50001–compliant energy management system that covers the entire process. Through systematic improvements in equipment energy efficiency, process optimization, and energy structure adjustment, the company achieves real-time monitoring and optimization of energy consumption for key equipment, reducing annual energy waste by 3%. In carbon emission management, the company has used ISO 14067 to quantify the full life-cycle carbon emissions of Camshaft products from a Gate-to-Gate perspective, thereby driving down the carbon emission intensity of its core Camshaft products by 15% compared with the industry average.
Dual-system certification is not the end but a new beginning. In the future, ASIMCO Camshaft will continue to deepen the linkage mechanism of “carbon footprint—energy efficiency—cost control,” continuously reduce carbon emissions, and vigorously promote green certification experience to help the upstream and downstream of the automotive industry chain collaborate on carbon reduction.
