On June 28, 2019, the Party branch of ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. organized a group of Party members to visit the Maoshan Revolutionary Base Area under the theme “Stay True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind.” The Southern Jiangsu Maoshan Anti-Japanese Base was one of the earliest and longest-lasting anti-Japanese base areas established nationwide, and it is also a national model base for patriotic education. The group first visited the Monument to the Victory of the Southern Jiangsu War of Resistance. On June 28, 2019, the Party branch of ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. organized some party members to visit the Maoshan Revolutionary Base Area under the theme of “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind.” The Maoshan Anti-Japanese Base Area in southern Jiangsu was one of the earliest and longest-lasting anti-Japanese base areas established nationwide, and it is also a national demonstration base for patriotic education.
First, everyone arrived at the Monument to the Victory of the Southern Jiangsu Anti-Japanese War. Built with donations from 313,000 Communist Party members in Zhenjiang City to commemorate the 50th anniversary of that victory, the 31.3-meter-tall monument stood under the blazing sun. All the Party members listened in solemn silence as the mournful yet stirring sound of a military bugle echoed before the monument—its poignant notes seeming to transport visitors back to the days of the war, allowing them to behold once more those brave, fearless, and gloriously vibrant figures.
Subsequently, the Party members visited the Memorial Hall of the New Fourth Army, which houses more than 3,000 artifacts and photographs and employs cutting-edge audio, lighting, and electrical technologies to vividly recreate the heroic scenes of the New Fourth Army’s courageous resistance against Japanese aggression. It is through the sacrifices and tireless efforts of our forebears that we enjoy today’s peace and prosperity; therefore, every Communist Party member must hold themselves to the highest standards, perform all tasks conscientiously and diligently, strive to serve society and the people, and dedicate themselves to the strength and flourishing of our motherland.
Through a day of visits, everyone was deeply moved: this year marks the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Over these 98 years, the Party’s journey has been fraught with twists and turns and hardships, yet it has also achieved one remarkable success after another. By revisiting our history and reaffirming our mission, the Party branch’s current campaign on “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind” aims to inspire every Party member to hold themselves to even higher standards, to keep firmly in mind our original aspiration to strive for the happiness of the people, and to work tirelessly to realize the Chinese Dream in the new century!
