July 1, 2020 marked the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and on that afternoon, the Party branch of ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. held a themed event titled “Revisiting the Oath of Joining the Party, Firmly Upholding Rational Beliefs” to celebrate the 99th anniversary. First, all party members reviewed the development history of the Communist Party of China, studied the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches in recent years, and revisited the oath of joining the party. With their right hands raised high and solemn expressions, they recited: “I voluntarily join the Communist Party of China, uphold the Party’s program, abide by the Party’s constitution…” This is the oath that every party member must observe; it serves as a bright guiding light.

To begin, all Party members reviewed the Communist Party of China’s development journey, studied the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches over recent years, and reaffirmed their Party membership oath. Raising their right hands in solemn pledge, they recited: “I voluntarily join the Communist Party of China, uphold the Party’s program, abide by the Party’s constitution…” This is the Party membership oath that every member must observe; like a bright guiding light, it points the way forward, inspiring all comrades to forge ahead with courage and determination, and reminding them to dedicate themselves selflessly, remain committed to their posts, and shoulder responsibility and accountability.
Following the oath-taking ceremony, Party members collectively watched the Party education documentary “Original Aspiration: Red Footprints,” produced by the Organization Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee. The film highlights several outstanding Party member role models from different historical periods and provides a detailed account of their remarkable achievements. The honor of being a Communist stems from the Party’s fundamental principle of serving the people wholeheartedly and its unwavering commitment to sacrificing everything personal for the interests of the nation and the people. Through this viewing and study, everyone was deeply inspired and profoundly moved, gaining a deeper understanding of the worldview, outlook on life, and values that Party members should uphold.
Through organized activities, Party members have come to fully recognize that “the Communist Party of China is a great political party. Our country has grown from a poor and weak nation into the world’s second-largest economy today, thanks to the countless sacrifices and heroic contributions of Communist Party members and revolutionary pioneers who devoted their lives and blood to communism and the founding of New China. As Communists in the new era, we must hold ourselves to even higher standards, perform our duties diligently, remain closely connected with the masses, uphold loyalty and integrity, set an exemplary example through our own conduct, and make the contributions that rightly belong to us to the Party and the country.”
