Recently, Asimco Camshaft has successfully passed the ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint Verification and ISO 50001 Energy Management System Certification, marking a crucial milestone in the company’s efforts toward green manufacturing and low-carbon transformation.

        Since launching preparation work for the certifications in 2023, the company has invested over 1 million yuan in implementing a series of technological upgrades. These include the introduction of a distributed photovoltaic power generation system, whose annual power output can meet 10% of the factory’s electricity demand; the establishment of a digital energy management platform to conduct real-time monitoring and parameter optimization for high-energy-consumption equipment such as air compressors and heat treatment furnaces; and the development of a waste metal and cutting fluid recycling system, which has increased the comprehensive utilization rate to over 95%.

        The successful certification of these two systems signifies that the company has achieved a full-chain upgrade in "energy management and control" and "carbon footprint tracing". In terms of energy management: in accordance with ISO 50001, the company has established a full-process energy management and control system. Through systematic improvements in equipment energy efficiency, process optimization, and energy structure adjustment, it has realized real-time monitoring and optimization of energy consumption of key equipment, reducing annual energy waste by 3%. In terms of carbon emission management: via ISO 14067, the company has quantified the full-life-cycle carbon emissions of camshaft products from a "Gate-to-Gate" perspective, driving a 15% reduction in the carbon emission intensity of core camshaft products compared with the industry average.

        Certification of the two systems is not an end, but a new starting point. In the future, Asimco Camshaft will continue to deepen the linkage mechanism of "carbon footprint – energy efficiency – cost control", continuously reduce carbon emissions, and vigorously promote experience in green certification to support collaborative carbon reduction across the upstream and downstream of the automotive industry chain.
