KCEC Visits ASIMCO Camshaft

On September 23, 2014, a three-member delegation led by Mr. Brad S. Stuckwisch, Director of Procurement at Cummins Inc.’s U.S. headquarters and responsible for Komatsu Cummins Engine Company (hereinafter referred to as KCEC), Ms. Ryoko Arai, Head of the Procurement Department at KCEC, and Mr. Zhou Qi from the East Asia International Procurement Department’s SQI team, paid a visit to our company. This visit marked the first customer follow-up since the commencement of business with KCEC.
The ASIMCO Camshaft Project Management Team extended a warm welcome to the guests. Mr. Dai Hongxing, Director of Technical Quality, gave a detailed introduction to our company’s overall operational performance this year, highlighting the expansion of our cooperation with Cummins and our excellent quality performance, and also presented to the guests the plans for new product development projects in future collaboration with Cummins.
Subsequently, the Cummins guests toured the casting and machining workshops, delving into every production process. They gained a thorough understanding of the entire Camshaft production flow—from casting to machining and final finishing—and carefully examined process quality and inspection records. The Cummins guests commended ASIMCO Camshaft for its robust on-site product quality control, extensive implementation of preventive measures, and widespread use of error-proofing methods, giving it a very high overall evaluation. Meanwhile, Ms. Ryoko cordially invited the ASIMCO Camshaft team to visit the KCEC plant in Japan in the near future. We gladly accepted the invitation and plan to make the trip before the first half of next year.
