ASIMCO Camshaft Wins the “Best Six Sigma Continuous Improvement Award”

On December 10, 2014, ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. was awarded the Best Six Sigma Continuous Improvement Award at the Cummins China Supplier Conference.
Six Sigma management is a customer-driven methodology for achieving superior performance and continuous improvement. It centers on enhancing products, services, and processes, and integrates culture, philosophy, and methodological frameworks to maximize quality, reduce defects, lower costs, and deliver exceptional value to customers—thereby pursuing outstanding performance and complete customer satisfaction while comprehensively boosting an organization’s competitiveness and profitability.
ASIMCO Camshaft has extensively carried out Six Sigma projects, including the application of tools such as FTA, DOE, FMEA identification, and QFD rapid-fire method in solving on-site problems, as well as the annual implementation of company-level projects. Moreover, ASIMCO Camshaft has maintained highly effective cooperation with Cummins on Six Sigma projects every year. In 2014, there were two improvement projects in collaboration with Cummins, among which the “Camshaft Packaging Line Layout and Optimization” project was showcased as an excellent case at the Cummins Supplier Conference for practical sharing. Through collaboration with customers, aiming for “zero defects, high efficiency, and low cost,” ASIMCO Camshaft has identified opportunities for cost reduction, achieving mutual benefits for both parties.
