ASIMCO Camshaft and Double Ring Six Sigma Green Belt Training Course Completion Ceremony

At the beginning of the New Year, snow has already fallen. On January 26, 2018, the graduation ceremony for the Six Sigma training course was held in Conference Room 205 of ASIMCO Yizheng Camshaft. Wu Yingxue, Vice President of ASIMCO Group, Chen Aiguo, General Manager of ASIMCO Camshaft, along with other leaders, Black Belt mentors, and all trainees attended the ceremony. This Six Sigma DMAIC Green Belt training program commenced on September 1, 2017, lasting four months. During this period, 19 trainees from Camshaft and Shuanghuan completed a total of 80 hours of training and each successfully carried out a Green Belt project, resulting in their smooth graduation. At the graduation ceremony, four outstanding projects were presented on-site, and five Black Belts conducted on-the-spot evaluations. In the end, Wang Fei from Shuanghuan won the first prize, Chen Xuedong from Camshaft took the second prize, while Li Yunlei and Wang Laiyuan each received the third prize. General Manager Chen urged the trainees to consciously apply Six Sigma thinking to solve practical problems in the production process, putting what they have learned into practice. He also emphasized that by undertaking at least one complete Six Sigma project every year, their professional competence will continuously improve, achieving twice the result with half the effort. At the graduation ceremony, General Manager Wu set even higher expectations for all trainees: the Green Belt certification is merely a starting point. They must continue to practice and refine their skills, elevating their technical expertise to a theoretical level and transforming their intuitive understanding into rational insight. Taking this opportunity, they should constantly enhance their innovation capabilities and pass on their knowledge to others. This training program received strong support from the Manufacturing Support Department of ASIMCO Headquarters. Moving forward, we will continue to offer Six Sigma training, enabling more members of our team to master this tool and use it to address various business challenges, thereby laying an even stronger foundation for continuous improvement.

ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. Successfully Passes the Recertification Audit of the Environmental Management System

On November 27, 2017, two auditors from Hande Quality Certification Services Co., Ltd. conducted an audit of our company’s environmental management system. Unlike previous audits, this was a recertification audit to verify compliance with the new version of the environmental management system standard. To prepare for the audit, the entire organization made thorough arrangements: internal auditor training was reorganized; all departments at every level studied the latest edition of the environmental management system standard; the Safety and Environmental Protection Department took the lead in revising and refining the management system documentation in accordance with the new standard; internal audits and management reviews were carried out; and, based on identified nonconformities, lessons were drawn and corrective actions were implemented to drive continuous improvement. After a three-day systematic audit, it was determined that our environmental management system complies with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015. The company successfully passed the recertification audit under the new standard, and the audit team fully acknowledged the effectiveness of the system’s ongoing improvement efforts. At the same time, the auditors issued recommendations for addressing existing issues. Although no nonconformities were identified during this audit, we must take the improvement observations raised during the audit seriously: clearly assign responsibility to the relevant departments, develop specific corrective action plans, and ensure follow-up and closed-loop implementation to guarantee the continuous, effective, and sound operation of the company’s environmental management system.

Showcasing Ourselves and Demonstrating Our Style – A Record of ASIMCO Shuanghuan’s 13th Staff Games

In order to further enrich the cultural and sports life of employees, strengthen corporate culture building, cultivate a spirit of unity, collaboration, and perseverance, and enable employees to devote themselves to their work with greater energy and enthusiasm, ASIMCO Shuanghuan’s 13th Employee Sports Meet kicked off at 8:00 a.m. on October 28, 2017, at the Yizheng Stadium. The Camshaft Team was invited to participate in this event and, upholding the Olympic spirit of “friendship first, competition second,” joined in this grand sporting celebration. Since the beginning of this year, the company has been operating in a booming market, with consistently tight production and sales. Therefore, for this sports meet, we only entered six events. The participating athletes set aside time from their rest to undergo pre-competition training, hoping to perform at their best and showcase their style on the field, thereby adding honor to the company. In the men’s 100-meter sprint, Geng Kai, an employee from the Sales Department, achieved first place. He delivered outstanding performances in both the preliminary rounds and the qualifying rounds—racing like the wind and sprinting with all his might—to ultimately claim victory! In the men’s 1,500-meter long-distance race, a total of four of our employees took part. Long-distance running is, by its very nature, a test of physical strength and endurance; the body’s capabilities gradually decline as time goes on. Nevertheless, among our competitors, Ma Guojun is the oldest. Despite being at a disadvantage in terms of age and seeing the gap widen with younger athletes, he kept running with determination, refusing to give up or succumb to physical discomfort. With everyone’s admiring applause, he crossed the finish line. It is precisely because we have employees with such unwavering conviction and a fearless spirit that our Camshaft Company enjoys today’s prosperity and can look forward to a bright future. During the tug-of-war and mini-games, the employees from our Foundry Workshop performed exceptionally well. Due to scheduling conflicts at work, many participants rushed straight from their late-night shifts to the stadium to take part in the competitions. Their spirits were neither tired nor slack; instead, they displayed the ironclad unity characteristic of the Foundry Workshop, a burning desire to win collective honors, and the tenacious will of ASIMCO Camshaft employees. The entire event concluded successfully at 4:00 p.m. The sports meet was packed with highlights, with each competition brimming with excitement and every athlete deserving praise! Not only did we perform enthusiastically on the field, but we also paid close attention to safety and logistical support, ensuring that every participant could compete with peace of mind. Thus, this glorious autumn has added another brilliant chapter to the cultural history of ASIMCO Camshaft.

The company conducts audits through its Level 2 safety standardization program.

On November 7–8, 2017, a team of five auditors from Nanjing Puhui Safety Technology Service Co., Ltd., dispatched by the Jiangsu Provincial Safety Association, conducted an audit of our company’s Level-2 occupational safety standardization efforts. To enhance our enterprise’s safety management level, we planned at the beginning of the year to build upon our existing Level-3 occupational safety standardization and initiate the establishment of Level-2 occupational safety standardization in accordance with the “Requirements for Level-2 Occupational Safety Standardization in Jiangsu Province.” In strict compliance with the relevant requirements of the “Standard for Safety and Quality Standardization in Mechanical Manufacturing Enterprises,” our Safety Supervision and Environmental Protection Department organized the development and refinement of 53 occupational safety responsibility systems at all levels; revised 20 safety management systems, including the “Occupational Safety Inspection System,” the “Occupational Safety and Health Education System,” and the “Stakeholder Safety Management System”; formulated 53 sets of operational safety procedures; prepared 13 emergency response plans; identified 254 potential hazards; and supplemented and improved safety warning signs at work sites. Since the beginning of the year, we have organized corresponding safety education and training at all levels, while also monitoring occupational hazard factors such as noise, high temperature, and dust, and filing occupational hazard declarations. Through the implementation of this initiative, our company’s safety management now has clear standardized guidelines; the safety management knowledge and capabilities of managers at all levels have been enhanced; corporate safety culture has been strengthened; employees’ safety awareness has been raised; unsafe conditions of equipment have been improved; and the company has gradually established a long-term mechanism for self-regulation and continuous improvement in occupational safety. Over the course of the two-day audit, the audit team reviewed a total of 63 documents, inspected 248 pieces of equipment and facilities, interviewed 89 employees, and administered written examinations covering 39 papers across 11 departments, 2 workshops, 3 warehouses, and 4 station buildings. Ultimately, our company passed the Level-2 occupational safety standardization assessment with a score of 75.5.
