On October 20, 2018, in the golden chrysanthemum and reddish-jujube autumn, ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. organized a visit for its employees to the “A Glimpse Through Millennia” exhibition at the Jiangsu Provincial Horticultural Expo. At 8:00 a.m., employees gathered punctually at Gulou Square, a landmark building in Yizheng, and took a shuttle bus together to the Expo Garden. Upon entry, they followed the park’s visiting rules, listening to staff explanations while carefully appreciating the landscape architecture and leisurely enjoying the lake and mountain scenery. “A single garden lets you experience the whole of Jiangsu; half a day is enough for a journey through millennia.” The Expo Garden mainly consists of themed gardens named after Jiangsu’s thirteen cities: Suqian’s Han Que, Changzhou’s pastoral idyll, Nantong’s river breeze and sea charm, Wuxi’s freehand landscapes, Suzhou’s Wu-style elegance and osmanthus fragrance, Zhenjiang’s timeless ink tones, Yangzhou’s delicate and graceful style… The pavilions and towers with upturned eaves, the brightly colored arched bridges and corridors, and the vividly blooming flowers all reveal Jiangsu’s long-standing cultural heritage and vibrant spirit. The most famous attraction in the park is the Moon City, with its jade-like pavilions and exquisite, gentle design. A crescent-shaped bridge connects the two banks, lined with trees and flowers that blend with the fresh, pure sunlight. The lotus flowers in the pond reflect their images, and their fragrance fills the air. At the end of the tour, employees expressed great admiration for their hometown’s garden construction, which embodies the principles of “ecological development and cultural enrichment.” In three years, the venue will also host the World Horticultural Exposition, bringing Yizheng onto the international stage. Against this backdrop of vigorous development, ASIMCO Camshaft employees are confident that they will produce even more outstanding and refined products, achieve better and more perfect results, enhance their ideological and moral standards, and adopt a more ambitious and enterprising attitude, thereby providing an inexhaustible driving force for the company’s healthy and stable growth!

It was August, the height of summer, with scorching sun and outdoor temperatures reaching 38°C. At this time, the casting workshop felt more like a giant sauna—just walking around inside would make your clothes soaked with sweat. Yet in such a season when everyone longs to escape to an air-conditioned room, the workshop workers steadfastly held their ground, working feverishly. Sweat mingled with dust as it streamed down, leaving streaks on their skin. The casting workshop is characterized by its large space, bulky equipment, and abundant dust. Moreover, since the products need to be poured at temperatures above 1,400°C and the sand remains at around 400°C after shaking out, the overall temperature in the workshop tends to be quite high. For a long time, the only way to cool the workshop in summer has been fans; however, the hot air they blow doesn’t provide much relief, and the rapid airflow stirs up dust near the equipment, blowing it onto sweat-soaked bodies and turning those directly in front of the fans into “black people.” Despite this, the workers’ enthusiasm for their jobs has never waned. Now, this situation is about to improve. Following a proposal from the workshop, the company conducted a survey and decided to install an air-supply system in the workshop. This system uses an outdoor unit to cool the air with water and then delivers it through ducts to each workstation, achieving a significant cooling effect—essentially a large-scale water-cooled air conditioner. It will also effectively reduce the side effect of fans stirring up dust, truly bringing coolness to the workers. This aligns with ASIMCO Camshaft’s people-oriented philosophy of continuously improving the working environment for the occupational health of our employees.

ASIMCO Camshaft Holds Onboarding Symposium for New College Graduates
On August 17, 2018, ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. held an orientation meeting for newly hired college graduates in Conference Room 203 of the company. Attendees included recent college graduates who had joined the company over the past two years, their respective internship mentors, and the company’s head of human resources. General Manager Chen Aiguo, Deputy General Manager for Technology and Quality Dai Hongxing, and Union Chairman Zhou Quan also attended the meeting and engaged in cordial conversations with the new employees. This was the latest in a series of orientation meetings for newly hired college graduates that the company has organized in recent years, underscoring the company’s strong commitment to talent development. During the meeting, the head of human resources carefully inquired about the interns’ progress and work conditions, encouraging them to freely share their thoughts and opinions. Yang Zhongjin, a machining process engineer who recently graduated from university in July and joined the company, was among the first students this year to begin their internship. In the discussion, he shared that over the past five months, he had successfully transitioned from a student to a professional, discovering that ASIMCO Camshaft is a highly positive and thriving team. Throughout his internship, both his mentors and supervisors provided him with extensive guidance, while his colleagues were always eager to help him adapt to the new environment. Working on the shop floor, he realized that being deeply involved at the frontline is the foundation for effective work. He expressed his willingness to grow and develop alongside the company, striving to achieve his personal goals and aspirations. Li Yinglong, who works in the Technical Department, has been with ASIMCO Camshaft for more than a year. He noted that although he had previous work experience, he found ASIMCO Camshaft to be far more standardized and employee-friendly compared with his former employer. The harmonious relationships among colleagues enabled him to quickly integrate into the team. He now serves as a project manager, a role that comes with considerable pressure, as he understands that no single individual can complete a project alone—effective coordination and communication across departments are essential to ensure smooth project execution. His personal standard is to approach every detail of his work with meticulous care, since it is often the small details that determine success or failure. The new graduates actively shared their views, expressing their desire to deepen their learning and enhance their professional skills within the company. They also raised some questions about their work and personal lives. Several internship mentors echoed these sentiments, noting that the new hires are hardworking and resilient, proactively engaging with on-site operations, possessing a solid foundation, and adapting quickly to their roles. They further advised the interns to use their own critical thinking to identify problems, reflect frequently, draw lessons from experience, and continuously improve their overall capabilities. Following this, Deputy General Manager Dai expressed high hopes for the company’s technical team, emphasizing that learning technology requires setting aside pride, proactively communicating, and efficiently resolving issues. He urged everyone to work in the right way, with a fearless attitude toward challenges, a willingness to question, and a spirit of innovation. As the union leader, Chairman Zhou showed great concern for the employees’ extracurricular life, stating that the union would organize various activities in the future to enrich their cultural and recreational experiences. Moreover, the union would do its utmost to assist the employees in addressing any inconveniences or difficulties they encounter in their daily lives. At the conclusion of the meeting, General Manager Chen Aiguo delivered a closing address, briefly outlining the more than twenty-year journey of the camshaft business—from its inception and growth to its current robust expansion—and highlighting the outstanding achievements the company and its products have attained in the industry. He encouraged everyone to contribute their wisdom and talents to further strengthen our camshaft enterprise. Looking ahead, Mr. Chen mentioned that the company’s goal is to achieve full automation, reduce labor intensity, promote smart manufacturing, move toward Industry 4.0, and gradually optimize the workplace environment, particularly by creating a comfortable and safe working atmosphere for employees. In addition, the company maintains a highly “OPEN” communication culture: employees are encouraged to raise any concerns—whether related to work or personal life—with their superiors, up to and including the General Manager, who will make every effort to meet reasonable requests. At the same time, Mr. Chen urged everyone, regardless of their position, to view their job as an opportunity for personal growth and development, stressing the importance of perseverance and steadfastness—only by holding firm can one ultimately see the light at the end of the tunnel. After hearing these remarks from the leadership, the new employees felt even more confident and determined, vowing to remain grounded in their work, diligently acquire new skills, and contribute their wisdom and energy to the company’s continued development. Additional news: On August 26, 2018, ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. organized a summer team-building event titled “Blossoming Dreams, Moving Forward Together” at Nanyuan Garden in Yizheng. Under the guidance of staff, participants toured the garden’s facilities and orchards, enjoyed a well-organized barbecue lunch, and then took part in fun games in the afternoon, spending a joyful and meaningful day together. At the end of the event, the bonds among the employees had deepened, and their communication had become more seamless. We are confident that we can build an even closer, more positive camshaft team!
