Autumn Garden Expo Tour in October — A Record of ASIMCO Camshaft Employees’ Visit to the Garden Expo
On October 20, 2018, in the golden chrysanthemum and reddish-jujube autumn, ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. organized a visit for its employees to the “A Glimpse Through Millennia” exhibition at the Jiangsu Provincial Horticultural Expo. At 8:00 a.m., employees gathered punctually at Gulou Square, a landmark building in Yizheng, and took a shuttle bus together to the Expo Garden. Upon entry, they followed the park’s visiting rules, listening to staff explanations while carefully appreciating the landscape architecture and leisurely enjoying the lake and mountain scenery. “A single garden lets you experience the whole of Jiangsu; half a day is enough for a journey through millennia.” The Expo Garden mainly consists of themed gardens named after Jiangsu’s thirteen cities: Suqian’s Han Que, Changzhou’s pastoral idyll, Nantong’s river breeze and sea charm, Wuxi’s freehand landscapes, Suzhou’s Wu-style elegance and osmanthus fragrance, Zhenjiang’s timeless ink tones, Yangzhou’s delicate and graceful style… The pavilions and towers with upturned eaves, the brightly colored arched bridges and corridors, and the vividly blooming flowers all reveal Jiangsu’s long-standing cultural heritage and vibrant spirit. The most famous attraction in the park is the Moon City, with its jade-like pavilions and exquisite, gentle design. A crescent-shaped bridge connects the two banks, lined with trees and flowers that blend with the fresh, pure sunlight. The lotus flowers in the pond reflect their images, and their fragrance fills the air. At the end of the tour, employees expressed great admiration for their hometown’s garden construction, which embodies the principles of “ecological development and cultural enrichment.” In three years, the venue will also host the World Horticultural Exposition, bringing Yizheng onto the international stage. Ge Hongbing, male, born on August 30, 1971, joined the Yizheng Camshaft Factory in July 1997 as a sales representative in the Sales Department. He joined the Communist Party of China in August 2012 and has since become a qualified CPC member. He has been working in marketing for more than twenty years. Strength lies in the factory; victory is decided in sales. The Sales Department has always been the backbone of market development, operating at the forefront of the market and facing countless challenges. Comrade Ge Hongbing has risen to these challenges head-on, increasing his business from RMB 1.36 million in 2009 to RMB 124 million in 2017. Countless travel tickets bear witness to his tireless efforts day and night in expanding the company’s business. Comrade Ge Hongbing is passionate about sales work. Guided by the principle of “sales growth, market share expansion, and stable profitability,” he sets high standards for himself. Externally, he is responsible for the business related to Cummins and SFI, striving to maintain friendly and harmonious relationships with customers, consistently providing top-quality service, continuously optimizing the product sales mix, and achieving one impressive sales result after another. Internally, he assists the department in its operations and, in his spare time, also supports the company’s Party-building work. Throughout the year—365 days—Comrade Ge Hongbing is either at work or on business trips, traveling day and night, undeterred by wind or rain. In May 2018, his wife suffered from gallstones and had to undergo gallbladder removal surgery. At the time, however, he was still out of town handling work. Upon hearing the news, he insisted on finishing his current tasks before rushing home to take care of her. Less than two or three days after returning home, he received another assignment and once again set off without hesitation. Comrade Ge Hongbing is not only an outstanding salesperson but also an exemplary member of the Communist Party of China. “Every Party member should lead by example, uphold the image of the Party and the country, be willing to endure hardship, and dedicate oneself selflessly.” Comrade Ge Hongbing constantly holds himself to Party standards, disciplines himself, and exemplifies the vanguard role in every aspect of his work. The Fifth ASIMCO Camshaft Expansion Training Was Successfully Held
The fifth team-building training event of ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. was successfully held on April 15, 2018. Team-building training is a process designed to help companies enhance the core values of their employees. Through such programs, employees’ potential can be effectively unlocked, their psychological resilience can be strengthened, and they can gain a deeper understanding of the mutually reinforcing, collaborative relationship between individuals and teams. This, in turn, inspires greater enthusiasm and a strong drive to strive for excellence within the team, making our team more cohesive. This one-day team-building exercise involved a total of 23 employees. At 8:00 a.m., everyone gathered at Tianle Lake Hot Spring Resort, and by 8:30 a.m. they had arrived at the training venue. The trainers divided the employees into two teams—red and blue—and conducted four targeted activities: “Rock Climbing,” which tested perseverance and encouraged participants to push beyond their limits; “Escape Grid,” designed to enhance communication skills; “Fun Games,” which combined learning with enjoyment to foster teamwork and rapport; and “Dragon Boat Racing,” aimed at improving team collaboration and execution. This team-building activity used physical exercise as a medium, training as a method, and personal reflection as its goal, allowing employees to experience, through sweat and laughter, the benefits of “a little more courage and confidence, a bit more understanding and communication, and a touch more initiative and mutual support.” After the training concluded, everyone came away with profound insights: each individual needs the understanding and support of the team, and the team’s development, in turn, depends on the hard work and dedication of every employee. Whether in today’s training or in future work, team spirit is of paramount importance. This team-building event was a complete success, deepening communication and trust among employees, strengthening their awareness of teamwork, and enhancing the company’s overall cohesion. Each employee will now approach their work with a more positive attitude and full enthusiasm. Attached are some reflections on the team-building experience: Last weekend, I was fortunate to participate in a day-long team-building training organized by the company—a training that combined mental acuity with physical fitness. What you hear may fade from memory, and what you see may gradually be forgotten, but only what you experience firsthand stays etched in your mind. Although this day’s training was brief, the benefits were immense. During the day, two activities were held in the morning and two in the afternoon. In the morning, we took part in high-altitude rock climbing and navigating an obstacle course made of interwoven wires; in the afternoon, we engaged in more lighthearted, fun-filled games, including “Kangaroo Carrying Melons,” jumping rope on pressure mats, tag with name tags, and a ten-person dragon boat race. Among these, the obstacle-course challenge left a particularly deep impression on me. When we first heard about it, we thought it was utterly impossible to complete within the allotted time. However, after clearly dividing tasks, engaging in extensive discussions and planning, and putting our strategies into practice, we actually succeeded! The key is to plan carefully before taking action—this is the essence of the saying, “Sharpening the knife does not delay the chopping of wood.” Just like in this activity, rather than rushing to get through the wires, each of us first found our own position, thoroughly analyzed the situation, and then made a single, decisive move to pass through. The trainer was absolutely right: if you harbor thoughts of failure, you will fail; without unwavering confidence in victory, there can be no real achievement. If you set your goals too low—within easy reach—then what motivation or room for growth will the team have? Those who only ever stop halfway up the mountain to admire the view will never truly appreciate the sense of openness and freedom that comes from reaching the summit. Team-building training is a challenge—not just a test of physical strength, but also of mindset; it challenges not only individuals, but the entire team. Although the training has now come to an end, the insights and lessons it has imparted are a lasting spiritual treasure. Through this experience, we have boosted our self-confidence, honed our perseverance in overcoming difficulties, surpassed our own limits, and accomplished what once seemed impossible. As our company continues to grow and develop, we are facing increasingly high standards and stringent requirements. In our daily work, how can we continuously identify problems and find ways to improve them? How can we further enhance the efficiency of our department and our own performance? And how can we better refine our existing workflows, working methods, and coordination with other departments? These are all goals that I will need to work even harder to achieve in the days ahead! On behalf of myself, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the company for organizing this event and providing us with a platform for mutual exchange, as well as to my teammates for their support and trust. Farewell Gala for Retired Employees: Heartfelt Affection Shines Through
On December 29, 2017, the ASIMCO Camshaft Company Trade Union held a farewell ceremony to honor two retired employees from the Foundry Workshop. The event was attended by Zhou Quan, Chairman of the Trade Union, the Director of the Foundry Workshop, and relevant personnel from the Human Resources Department. During the ceremony, Mr. Zhou delivered an enthusiastic speech, expressing gratitude for the decades of dedicated service rendered by the two colleagues. He noted that they had witnessed the growth of ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd., and that the company’s success would not have been possible without the selfless contributions of every employee. He extended heartfelt wishes for good health and happiness in their retirement, and warmly invited them to visit the company often to reconnect with old friends. Subsequently, the two retirees shared their work experiences, expressing their fondness for the company, their gratitude to the leadership, and their deep attachment to the team. They also sincerely wished the Camshaft Company a brighter future! Although brief, the farewell ceremony served as a full recognition of the retirees’ contributions, strengthened the sense of belonging among employees, and put the slogan “fostering a sense of belonging among employees” into practice.

Warm Winter, Joyful Christmas Celebration
As the year draws to a close, the company continues to enjoy robust production and sales. To infuse a festive spirit and extend warm holiday greetings to our hardworking employees, the trade union, human resources department, and other relevant units jointly planned and organized a Christmas Eve event to deliver heartfelt wishes to all staff. At exactly 5:00 p.m. on the 24th, company leaders dressed in festive Christmas attire entered the workshops to the sound of cheerful music, pushing a cart laden with “Christmas peace fruits.” They made their way along each production line, personally presenting these symbolic fruits—representing peace and harmony—to every worker. In addition, each employee received a beautifully packaged cashmere winter gift set as a Christmas present. Following the gift distribution, the chairman of the trade union delivered a festive address of goodwill: “We are deeply grateful for your dedication. The company’s growth and progress would be impossible without the diligent efforts of every single one of you. It is precisely because our employees consistently uphold the production philosophy of prioritizing customer needs and delivering exceptional quality that the company has been able to achieve sustained, stable, and healthy development.” The event lasted for two hours, during which every employee wore an indescribable expression of profound happiness. Showcasing Ourselves and Demonstrating Our Style – A Record of ASIMCO Shuanghuan’s 13th Staff Games
In order to further enrich the cultural and sports life of employees, strengthen corporate culture building, cultivate a spirit of unity, collaboration, and perseverance, and enable employees to devote themselves to their work with greater energy and enthusiasm, ASIMCO Shuanghuan’s 13th Employee Sports Meet kicked off at 8:00 a.m. on October 28, 2017, at the Yizheng Stadium. The Camshaft Team was invited to participate in this event and, upholding the Olympic spirit of “friendship first, competition second,” joined in this grand sporting celebration. Since the beginning of this year, the company has been operating in a booming market, with consistently tight production and sales. Therefore, for this sports meet, we only entered six events. The participating athletes set aside time from their rest to undergo pre-competition training, hoping to perform at their best and showcase their style on the field, thereby adding honor to the company. In the men’s 100-meter sprint, Geng Kai, an employee from the Sales Department, achieved first place. He delivered outstanding performances in both the preliminary rounds and the qualifying rounds—racing like the wind and sprinting with all his might—to ultimately claim victory! In the men’s 1,500-meter long-distance race, a total of four of our employees took part. Long-distance running is, by its very nature, a test of physical strength and endurance; the body’s capabilities gradually decline as time goes on. Nevertheless, among our competitors, Ma Guojun is the oldest. Despite being at a disadvantage in terms of age and seeing the gap widen with younger athletes, he kept running with determination, refusing to give up or succumb to physical discomfort. With everyone’s admiring applause, he crossed the finish line. It is precisely because we have employees with such unwavering conviction and a fearless spirit that our Camshaft Company enjoys today’s prosperity and can look forward to a bright future. During the tug-of-war and mini-games, the employees from our Foundry Workshop performed exceptionally well. Due to scheduling conflicts at work, many participants rushed straight from their late-night shifts to the stadium to take part in the competitions. Their spirits were neither tired nor slack; instead, they displayed the ironclad unity characteristic of the Foundry Workshop, a burning desire to win collective honors, and the tenacious will of ASIMCO Camshaft employees. The entire event concluded successfully at 4:00 p.m. The sports meet was packed with highlights, with each competition brimming with excitement and every athlete deserving praise! Not only did we perform enthusiastically on the field, but we also paid close attention to safety and logistical support, ensuring that every participant could compete with peace of mind. Thus, this glorious autumn has added another brilliant chapter to the cultural history of ASIMCO Camshaft.

Charitable Donations Bring Warmth, One Drop at a Time
Since joining the company in August 2007, Zhang Zhiyong, an employee of our casting workshop, has consistently demonstrated dedication and diligence. In 2009, Mr. Zhang was diagnosed with chronic hepatitis B but did not pursue further medical evaluation or treatment. In early 2016, he was hospitalized due to abnormal liver function and subsequently diagnosed with decompensated cirrhosis. As a result of his loss of work capacity, he requires active cooperation with treatment and rest; accordingly, the company has initiated the prescribed procedure for him to retire on medical grounds. Despite 11 months of treatment, his condition has continued to deteriorate, and his prognosis remains grim. Following a visit by the trade union, it was learned that Mr. Zhang is currently receiving treatment in Shanghai and is preparing to undergo a liver transplant. His family circumstances are modest: his mother has voluntarily offered to donate part of her liver to save her son’s life; however, the cost of the transplant and subsequent postoperative care will exceed RMB 600,000. After deliberation, Mr. Zhang and his family have decided to sell their property to fund the remaining treatment expenses, after which the entire family plans to live together in a small garage. Our organization has always practiced humane management and made every effort to safeguard the interests of our employees. Upon learning of Mr. Zhang’s current difficult situation, the trade union promptly issued a fundraising appeal, calling on all employees to contribute either through monetary donations or by offering practical assistance. As a result of this campaign, the vast majority of our staff generously stepped forward, raising a total of RMB 21,530. Colleagues sincerely wish Mr. Zhang a speedy recovery, and every act of kindness reflects their most heartfelt hope. This week, the trade union delivered the substantial funds raised to Mr. Zhang, along with warm words of concern and encouragement. Moving forward, we will continue to closely monitor his treatment progress and provide whatever support we can within our means.

Mutual exchange, common progress
On September 13, six colleagues from ASIMCO Shanxi Foundry, led by Director Liu Yi of the Second Foundry Division, visited our company for an exchange and tour. The visit was warmly received by Ji Youqun, our Production Director. Both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges, discussions, and learning in an open and candid manner. During the on-site tour of the workshop, the workshop management team provided a detailed overview of the production process, on-site management, equipment management, and other aspects, and answered all questions raised as comprehensively as possible. In recent years, ASIMCO Shanxi has made significant breakthroughs in corporate management; their automation upgrades on production lines and improvements in COPQ for casting blanks are particularly worthy of our reference and study. During the subsequent exchange, participants spoke freely and enthusiastically, engaging in thorough discussions on topics of mutual interest. The ASIMCO Shanxi colleagues also offered valuable suggestions for improving our on-site operations. Although the period for this learning and exchange was brief, through this experience of mutual learning, discussion, and sharing of successful practices, we achieved the goal of learning from one another. This is a key approach for companies to foster a learning-oriented workforce and actively build an outstanding management team. After all, every enterprise and team has its own unique characteristics and areas where we can learn and draw inspiration. Mutual exchange broadens our thinking, sparks our creativity, and provides us with valuable insights. Going forward, ASIMCO Camshaft will, guided by the goals of standardized and refined management, continuously enhance the management capabilities of employees at all levels through various means to meet the needs of the company’s steady development.
