Visiting Red Memories and Promoting the Revolutionary Spirit — The CPC ASIMCO Camshaft Party Branch Visits and Studies the Memorial Hall of the New Fourth Army Headquarters in Huanghuatang

On July 4, to mark the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, a delegation of more than 20 members from the CPC branch of ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. visited the Memorial Hall of the New Fourth Army Headquarters in Huanghuatang, Xuyi, to revisit the revolutionary past and undergo a spiritual cleansing. This was not only a red tourism trip but also a journey of soul purification. The four exhibition halls of the Memorial Hall of the New Fourth Army Headquarters in Huanghuatang showcased, through extensive historical documents, precious revolutionary relics, and numerous little-known news photos and materials from the New Fourth Army era, the remarkable achievements of the New Fourth Army headquarters during its time in Huanghuatang—strategizing between humble thatched cottages and securing victory across the country. In the historical exhibition hall, visitors listened attentively to the docent’s explanation of the glorious history and fine traditions of the New Fourth Army while carefully examining the valuable photographs, artifacts, and documents on display. Everyone was deeply moved by the arduous and extraordinary struggles of the New Fourth Army back then. Seeing the crude and simple daily necessities as well as the many artifacts used by the army headquarters, medical units, and ordnance factories at the time, they were profoundly touched by the revolutionary spirit of the martyrs who overcame countless difficulties and persevered to the end. Through this visit and study, participants gained a deeper understanding that the history of this “red iron army” is a living chronicle of the people’s armed forces, as well as a heroic and tragic chapter in the War of Resistance Against Japan and the national liberation movement. By revisiting history and reflecting on the present, the party members reaffirmed their oath of joining the Party in front of the solemn New Fourth Army Memorial Hall. Strengthen safety and environmental protection efforts to ensure the stable development of the enterprise.

On June 29–30, 2021, under the chairmanship of Mr. Cui Yusen, EHS Manager at ASIMCO Headquarters, and with the participation of the company’s Safety Supervision and Environmental Protection Department, a workshop was held to discuss improvement plans for ASIMCO Camshaft in two areas: the implementation of the safety production responsibility system and the enhancement of accident management. The new Work Safety Law was approved and promulgated by President Xi Jinping on June 10, 2021, and will officially come into effect on September 1, 2021. The new law clarifies the principal responsibility for work safety, establishes a safety responsibility system covering all employees, and requires the establishment of a tiered risk management and control system. By thoroughly studying the regulatory requirements, grasping the spirit of the law, and planning to establish and improve a comprehensive work safety responsibility system for all employees, the company has reviewed the current status of safety responsibility implementation, identified gaps through benchmarking, and formulated improvement measures and a corresponding improvement plan. In addition, the company has clarified the relationships among safety production responsibilities at different levels and established an EHS responsibility framework to guide the subsequent updating and refinement of job responsibilities. There are cyclical fluctuations in the occurrence of safety incidents, which are closely related to weak safety awareness and reduced efforts in safety management. Therefore, it is essential to maintain rigorous safety management and provide continuous training and education. By improving the management of safety incidents, enhancing the safety incident database, and refining case-based training methods for positions, the company aims to strengthen safety risk awareness and encourage employees to conduct self-inspections for potential hazards in their respective roles through cautionary and interactive learning approaches. Recently, a series of national and local laws and regulations concerning work safety, environmental protection, occupational health, and other areas have been successively issued and implemented, marking a shift from “strict approval, light supervision” to “light approval, strict supervision.” These measures strengthen compliance requirements, clarify the principal responsibility of enterprises, and compel companies to carry out genuine and effective EHS work. Since the beginning of this year, the company has required all managers to actively change their mindset, address shortcomings in control measures, organize safety risk assessments and environmental risk evaluations for each position, optimize emergency response plans for sudden environmental incidents, establish a dual-prevention mechanism for hierarchical risk management and hazard identification and remediation, and leverage new technology upgrade projects to refine environmental impact assessment documents and revise the company’s pollution discharge permit. Congratulations to Comrade Li Yunlei on being elected as a delegate to the Yizheng Municipal Party Congress for 2021.

Li Yunlei, female, joined ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. in 2006. In October 2010, she was admitted to the Communist Party of China through the Party branch of ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd., and became a full member in 2011. She currently holds a management position in the Technical Department. According to the unified arrangement of the Party Working Committee of the Automotive Industrial Park and the provisions of the “Election Measures,” after careful deliberation and recommendation by the branch committee, public announcement for inspection, and democratic election—all conducted in a fair and impartial manner—and following multiple rounds of evaluation and review, she was ultimately elected as a delegate to the CPC Yizheng Municipal Congress in 2021. Comrade Li Yunlei is of upright character, diligent in her studies, gentle and friendly, and always willing to help others. While continuously improving her professional title, she also frequently encourages and guides the surrounding process engineers to grow and make progress together. During her spare time, she joined the city’s youth volunteer team and often participates in charitable activities, contributing to social welfare causes. On March 25, the TPM Promotion Office convened a summary and sharing session on last year’s QC group activities among frontline team leaders. Representatives from relevant departments, including Engineering, Quality, the Foundry Workshop, and the Machining Workshop, attended the meeting. Wang Peiquan, head of the TPM Promotion Office, summarized the performance of each group from three perspectives—team participation, project completion, and report quality—and commended the active involvement and improvements achieved during the group activities. ASIMCO Camshaft Wins Nanjing Iveco B+ Level Supplier Recognition

On April 9, 2021, Nanjing Iveco Automobile Co., Ltd. held its 2020 Supplier Procurement Annual Meeting in Nanjing, where ASIMCO Camshaft was honored as a B+–level supplier for 2020 by Nanjing Iveco. Since 1993, ASIMCO Camshaft has been the exclusive supplier of Camshafts for SOFIM engines to Nanjing Iveco. Over nearly three decades of collaboration, our products have earned high recognition from the customer in terms of both quality and delivery. ASIMCO Camshaft’s outstanding performance with the customer has enabled us to successfully secure the contract for the combined Camshaft project for Nanjing Iveco’s F1A/F1C engines. Currently, the combined Camshaft for the F1C model is already in mass supply, while the combined Camshaft for the F1A model has officially passed the customer’s PPAP review. In the second half of the year, Nanjing Iveco plans to replace all existing imported products with ASIMCO’s F1A/F1C combined Camshafts.
