ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. Successfully Passes the Recertification Audit of the Environmental Management System

On November 27, 2017, two auditors from Hande Quality Certification Services Co., Ltd. conducted an audit of our company’s environmental management system. Unlike previous audits, this was a recertification audit to verify compliance with the new version of the environmental management system standard. To prepare for the audit, the entire organization made thorough arrangements: internal auditor training was reorganized; all departments at every level studied the latest edition of the environmental management system standard; the Safety and Environmental Protection Department took the lead in revising and refining the management system documentation in accordance with the new standard; internal audits and management reviews were carried out; and, based on identified nonconformities, lessons were drawn and corrective actions were implemented to drive continuous improvement. After a three-day systematic audit, it was determined that our environmental management system complies with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015. The company successfully passed the recertification audit under the new standard, and the audit team fully acknowledged the effectiveness of the system’s ongoing improvement efforts. At the same time, the auditors issued recommendations for addressing existing issues. Although no nonconformities were identified during this audit, we must take the improvement observations raised during the audit seriously: clearly assign responsibility to the relevant departments, develop specific corrective action plans, and ensure follow-up and closed-loop implementation to guarantee the continuous, effective, and sound operation of the company’s environmental management system.

Showcasing Ourselves and Demonstrating Our Style – A Record of ASIMCO Shuanghuan’s 13th Staff Games

In order to further enrich the cultural and sports life of employees, strengthen corporate culture building, cultivate a spirit of unity, collaboration, and perseverance, and enable employees to devote themselves to their work with greater energy and enthusiasm, ASIMCO Shuanghuan’s 13th Employee Sports Meet kicked off at 8:00 a.m. on October 28, 2017, at the Yizheng Stadium. The Camshaft Team was invited to participate in this event and, upholding the Olympic spirit of “friendship first, competition second,” joined in this grand sporting celebration. Since the beginning of this year, the company has been operating in a booming market, with consistently tight production and sales. Therefore, for this sports meet, we only entered six events. The participating athletes set aside time from their rest to undergo pre-competition training, hoping to perform at their best and showcase their style on the field, thereby adding honor to the company. In the men’s 100-meter sprint, Geng Kai, an employee from the Sales Department, achieved first place. He delivered outstanding performances in both the preliminary rounds and the qualifying rounds—racing like the wind and sprinting with all his might—to ultimately claim victory! In the men’s 1,500-meter long-distance race, a total of four of our employees took part. Long-distance running is, by its very nature, a test of physical strength and endurance; the body’s capabilities gradually decline as time goes on. Nevertheless, among our competitors, Ma Guojun is the oldest. Despite being at a disadvantage in terms of age and seeing the gap widen with younger athletes, he kept running with determination, refusing to give up or succumb to physical discomfort. With everyone’s admiring applause, he crossed the finish line. It is precisely because we have employees with such unwavering conviction and a fearless spirit that our Camshaft Company enjoys today’s prosperity and can look forward to a bright future. During the tug-of-war and mini-games, the employees from our Foundry Workshop performed exceptionally well. Due to scheduling conflicts at work, many participants rushed straight from their late-night shifts to the stadium to take part in the competitions. Their spirits were neither tired nor slack; instead, they displayed the ironclad unity characteristic of the Foundry Workshop, a burning desire to win collective honors, and the tenacious will of ASIMCO Camshaft employees. The entire event concluded successfully at 4:00 p.m. The sports meet was packed with highlights, with each competition brimming with excitement and every athlete deserving praise! Not only did we perform enthusiastically on the field, but we also paid close attention to safety and logistical support, ensuring that every participant could compete with peace of mind. Thus, this glorious autumn has added another brilliant chapter to the cultural history of ASIMCO Camshaft.

ASIMCO Camshaft Six Sigma Training Class Opens

At exactly 8:00 a.m. on September 1, the opening ceremony for the Six Sigma training program was held in Conference Room 205 of the company. Wu Yingxue, Vice President of ASIMCO Group; Liu Jun, Director of Manufacturing Support; Manager Wang Kang, the training instructor; as well as relevant leaders from ASIMCO Camshaft and all trainees attended the ceremony. Six Sigma is a management methodology aimed at improving corporate quality and processes, striving for “zero defects,” reducing the cost of poor quality, and ultimately enhancing financial performance and breaking through competitive barriers. This training program is a highly significant component of the company’s annual training plan. Since the beginning of the year, the company has been working closely with the Headquarters’ Manufacturing Support Department to plan and implement the training. We hope that through this program, engineering and technical personnel will enhance their awareness of quality improvement and their ability to apply quality-improvement tools. The training consists of six sessions, each lasting two days, with completion scheduled for the end of December. A total of 19 formal trainees are participating, six of whom are from ASIMCO Shuanghuan. Each trainee has brought along a corresponding improvement project; conducting projects concurrently with the training will not only help consolidate the theoretical knowledge gained but also provide better guidance for project improvements. Finally, General Manager Wu put forward several requirements for all trainees, urging them to embrace this mindset of continuous improvement during the training and develop good habits of ongoing enhancement, so that they can contribute to the company’s development and advancement. To ensure the effectiveness of this training, the day before the opening, Manager Wang Kang conducted a special SPONSOR training session for all project sponsors from ASIMCO Shuanghuan and ASIMCO Camshaft. The session aimed to help participants understand the role and importance of sponsors throughout the project lifecycle and to further emphasize that the success or failure of a project depends on the team, rather than on any individual.

Pay Attention to Fire Safety and Cherish Life — ASIMCO Camshaft’s Emergency Fire Drill Successfully Held

On July 13, 2017, at 3:30 p.m., the company conducted an emergency fire drill under the organization of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department, with the participation of more than 40 employees from production, workshop, maintenance, and several administrative departments. Following thorough preparation of equipment, the participants lined up in an orderly formation and carried out the on-site drill in the open area to the east of the metal-processing workshop. First, the head of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department provided a detailed briefing on the common forms of fires, the development process and characteristics of fire incidents, as well as the general principles and proper usage of fire extinguishers. Special emphasis was placed on the operation of portable dry-powder extinguishers, with a live demonstration conducted on the spot. Attendees listened attentively to the key points and observed every detail. Subsequently, the Safety Department arranged for a hands-on fire-extinguishing exercise on the premises, covering all stages—from detecting a fire, evacuating personnel, conducting fire suppression and search-and-rescue operations, ensuring safe evacuation, to providing emergency first aid to the injured. Throughout each phase, participants remained serious and disciplined, strictly following instructions, ensuring that the entire practical fire-extinguishing drill proceeded in an orderly manner. After the drill concluded, the Safety Department corrected the improper use of fire extinguishers by certain employees and provided guidance on escape techniques tailored to the specific characteristics of fire-affected areas. By linking theory with practice, the fire emergency drill achieved its intended objectives. Meanwhile, company leaders offered on-site feedback on the drill and instructed that any shortcomings identified during the exercise be used as a basis for refining and revising the company’s emergency response plan, so as to ensure that the plan fully meets the company’s operational requirements. Through this fire safety and fire-evacuation drill, employees’ fire safety skills and self-protection awareness were effectively enhanced, the company’s capacity for emergency response to unexpected incidents was improved, and normal production safety order was safeguarded.
