On July 20, 2021, the Delta variant disrupted the tranquility of Nanjing; on July 28, the first case linked to Nanjing emerged in Yangzhou, triggering an outbreak in the city. Yizheng, situated midway between the two cities, then launched a “pandemic containment battle.” “Pandemic control is an order, and prevention and control is our responsibility.” In accordance with the unified deployment and requirements of the Yizheng City Pandemic Prevention and Control Command, the epidemic prevention team at ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd. has been closely monitoring the epidemic situation, maintaining close communication with higher-level health authorities, promptly disseminating the latest prevention and control regulations, and rigorously implementing all preventive measures. Designated personnel are assigned to disinfect public areas throughout the factory premises, and all employees must have their temperature checked, register, and present their SuKang code and travel history code upon entering the plant. In addition, each employee is provided with masks and disinfectant supplies, and staggered meal breaks are arranged for different shifts to ensure safe dining. These scientific and effective measures have effectively safeguarded every checkpoint in the pandemic prevention process. Epidemic prevention is of paramount importance. Under the unified deployment of the higher-level authorities in the automotive industrial park, the company has organized employees to undergo mass nucleic acid testing in a well-structured and orderly manner, screened and isolated individuals identified as contacts, resolutely blocked the risk of transmission, and effectively protected the physical and mental health of all employees while ensuring the normal operation of production and delivery. To date, phased achievements have been made in epidemic prevention and control. With the situation stabilizing, the company continues to treat pandemic prevention as a top priority, while also optimizing internal workflows, enhancing quality and efficiency, and ensuring that production operations and epidemic prevention efforts proceed hand in hand. ASIMCO Camshaft Communications Team Visits the China Grand Canal Museum
Recently, in order to enrich the cultural life of the company’s communications team and to promote learning and exchange, a group of 16 members—including both existing team members and newly hired college graduates—visited the China Grand Canal Museum, under the planning and organization of the Human Resources Department. The Grand Canal Museum is located along the ancient Sanwan section of the Grand Canal in Yangzhou. It is a specialized museum that comprehensively showcases the World Heritage value of the Grand Canal across the entire river basin, throughout all historical periods, and from every possible perspective. Covering an exhibition area of approximately 18,000 square meters, the museum features 11 uniquely designed display spaces, including “Impressions of the Canal Streets” and “The Epic Scroll of the Chinese Grand Canal.” Through the visit, participants gained a deep appreciation for the canal’s past and present, learned about the sophisticated hydraulic engineering, grain transportation and salt trade, commercial activities, traditional opera, folk beliefs, and everyday urban life along the canal. They unanimously praised the museum’s rich and diverse exhibits, noting that they had the rare opportunity to closely examine many precious cultural relics previously only found in books, and to experience details that cannot be fully conveyed through reading. They expressed their intention to return in the future to continue their learning. Although the visit lasted only half a day, it felt as though they had traveled through time and space. At the conclusion of the tour, everyone still wished it could have lasted longer. “Yangzhou is such a wonderful place—rich in history and blessed with outstanding people,” remarked one of the newly hired college graduates. The young employee pledged to study and work diligently, strive to integrate quickly into the team, and contribute her share to the company. She also expressed hope that the company would organize more such activities in the future, enabling employees to gain a deeper understanding of local history and culture and thereby enhance their own cultural literacy.
